“Two roads diverged in a wood, and I —
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.”
~ Robert Frost
Welcome to This Feng Shui Life. I’m Terri Nesbitt, a Certified Feng Shui Practitioner and a Feng Shui Consultant. For a long time before that, I worked as a writer and editor. I authored many best-selling self-help books, booklets, and articles on topics related to recovering from all kinds of ills and experiences that a life’s journey might encounter. My goal was always to translate serious, complex, and sometimes esoteric concepts in an easily understandable and relatable way. As my words were being published and sent out into the world, I considered it a sacred responsibility to contribute only good, true, honest, and most importantly, helpful information. I don't think it's helpful to overwhelm people with a lot of jargon or background data they don't need. I keep it simple, clear, and straightforward. Feng Shui is an ancient art, but can be understood well enough to be used by anyone, anywhere, any time.
I’ve always felt sensitive to places, inexplicably drawn to some and repulsed by others. I’ve moved many times and felt many different “vibes” in the places I’ve called home. I’ve been nudged to grow in certain areas of my life and forced to confront old blockages of energy within myself. I know that unseen and unattended issues don’t go away by themselves; we have to bring them out into the light and deal with them, one way or another. We have to heal wounds, abandon lost causes, and welcome whatever takes us to the next lesson, the next step toward our highest, best selves and lives. All of that becomes a lot easier when we’re not fighting the energy in our physical surroundings, but rather listening to it, letting it tell us where the problems are and what we need to rectify for the energy to flow easily and naturally around and through us and our lives.
I’ll be posting my thoughts on all kinds of issues related to Feng Shui here, while giving you a basic understanding of how you can make it work for you. I will offer what I know to be good, true, and honest guidance. I hope you find it informative, fun, and most importantly, helpful. Enjoy!
